If I lived in Edmonton Centre I would certainly be voting for Randy Boissonnault on October 19th. He's been a success in business and in philanthropic undertakings, he has fresh ideas, and I know that he won't be a yes-man in Ottawa.

Randy’s tenacity, commitment, and infectious enthusiasm for our city remind me why I’m proud to be an Edmontonian. His passion for our country reminds me that, with his Liberal peers in Ottawa, I can once again be proud to be Canadian.

Randy Boissonnault, who has already built a successful company and an international charity, is running to serve the people of Edmonton Centre for all the right reasons: he believes in service and he thinks Canada desperately needs a new strategy, especially for our economic well-being. A big part of that strategy is Edmonton, a city the Harper Government has ignored and taken for granted since 2006. Randy wants to take Edmonton to Ottawa, in a genuine and powerful way, and he knows how to argue for what Edmontonians need from its federal government. He’s probably the most curious, most energetic, hardest-working person I know. No matter what party you traditionally support, take the time to have a conversation with Randy — in English or French — and you’ll see what I mean.

I met Randy over 25 years ago. Our mutual passion for the non-profit sector has kept us connected over the years. I have watched Randy grow and develop from a young enthusiastic twenty year old into the mature and highly effective person he is today. What has not changed over the years is his integrity, energy, and commitment to the organizations and causes he has passionately worked with or supported. Few who have heard him speak about any of these causes are not touched by his commitment to the cause and his belief in our ability to make a difference in the lives of individual Canadians. In short, there is no one more deserving or more qualified to represent Edmonton Centre as the Liberal candidate in the next federal election.

It is my pleasure to endorse Randy Boissonnault in my former riding of Edmonton Centre. Words that come to mind when I think of Randy – smart, committed, progressive, experienced, passionate, energetic. Randy is all these things and more. From his days at the University of Alberta as Student Union President, he has been committed to, and worked hard for, those people whose concerns and voices may not be heard in our community. His passion for literacy tells me that he understands how important it is for everyone to have the opportunity to learn and to pursue their dreams. Randy will be an engaged and thoughtful voice for our riding, our community and our province.
